AI shouldn't be placed at the same platform as work from real artists — that built this community — with soulless images made by AI. It's not only an ethical issue since it's a copyright hellhole, but also a moral issue since you're stealing the identity of another person that puts years of their lives into their craft. I understand that technological advancements happen, but it should always be in the best interest of the people in mind which is far from the case.
AI is not "you (not an artist) can create art now!" as some may think, as you could from the beginning create your own art just like everyone else and learn a skill in the process. This is theft of other peoples work to train a machine, what the algorithm puts together, it's simply not yours and it's nothing to be proud of.
I suggest you to ask yourself: "Who REALLY benefits from AI generated images?", a tip: it's definitely not the artists, not the majority of the prompt writers or anyone the working class...
